All grow’d up

Posted on: August 9, 2012

This was the last picture I posted of LMT:

Look how small she is!  *sniffle*

And here’s LMT now:

Look how much she has grown!

She has fully embraced her “terrible twos”, with her favorite word being “NONONONONO!”  But despite the “No Syndrome”, she’s still a riot.  Her favorite book is “Llama Llama Red Pajama” and can recite it by heart…and does often.  She especially likes to recite it while grocery shopping which keeps her entertained and out of our hair.  Win-win.

She recently had her first haircut, which was a success thanks to the awesome hair-cut place we found.  They had little cars for the kids to sit in, and every station had a tv.  LMT’s station was playing “Toy Story” (also known as “WoodyBuzz” in our house).

Before (poor kid was looking so shaggy!)

I can’t believe it!  She finally has hair that we can cut!  It took nearly two whole years for her to grow this much hair.  😉

And after the haircut.  She looks so sweet.

I can’t believe how quickly the time has flown by.  I know it sounds cliche, but it’s true.  She’ll be moving up to the next classroom at daycare next week, we’re still working on potty training (cringe), and we’re cruising into the phase of choosing her own wardrobe.  This morning it was jeans, her favorite penguin t-shirt, and a bucket hat.  The t-shirt is still a bit big on her, but whatever makes her happy.  I’m not down with fighting a toddler at 6:30 am over something as trivial as clothing.

This weekend also marks LMT’s first overnight trip without mommy and daddy.  I’m sure she’ll be just fine.  Mommy, on the other hand…well, that’s another story.
